Two pressure levels for easier breathing
The Resvent BiPAP delivers two pressure levels: inspiratory pressure (IPAP) from 4 to 30 cmH₂O and expiratory pressure (EPAP) from 4 to 25 cmH₂O. The lower pressure on exhalation makes breathing out easier than with single-pressure CPAP.
S/T (Spontaneous/Timed) mode: the device follows the patient's own breathing and adds timed backup breaths if the patient does not breathe enough on their own.
It is suitable for both home and ward use. Doctors often choose BiPAP for patients who cannot tolerate CPAP pressure or who need pressure support. All settings must follow the doctor's prescription.
At home or in hospital
In hospital, BiPAP is often used on the ward for patients who need non-invasive support. Patients who need invasive ventilation or more complex settings should be on a ventilator. At home, consistent use matters most, and a well-fitting mask plus cleaning as the manufacturer instructs help people keep going.

Frequently asked questions
How is BiPAP different from CPAP?
CPAP uses one pressure for breathing in and out. BiPAP uses a higher pressure for breathing in and a lower one for breathing out, which makes exhaling easier.
What does S/T mode mean?
Spontaneous/Timed: the device follows the patient's own breaths and adds backup breaths at a set rate if the patient does not breathe enough.
